Nutritionist at Apley Farm Shop

Apley Farm Shop is delighted to welcome on site this year a local nutritionist, Jackie Wilson. Perfect timing for all those new year’s resolutions ! Jackie can help you resolve a wide range of health issues, so don’t hesitate anymore & book in to see her at Apley !

She is passionate about empowering the individual to become part of their health solutions, on cutting through conflicting advice to provide simple clear & achievable eating & lifestyle plans that are enjoyable and satisfying.

Naturopathic Nutritional therapy is the application of personal wellness plans to help achieve optimum health & wellbeing, combining up-to-date medical evidence-based science & the wisdom of natural medicine. Her nutritional therapy is relevant for supporting individuals with a wide range of symptoms including stress, fatigue, food intolerances, allergies, digestive complaints, chronic degenerative disorders & other conditions of sub-optimal health & energy. She never makes claims of treating conditions, but can support or help with them. As well as individual consultations, she also gives talks & runs seminars, including an annual talk to a local school on teeth & dietary advice.

She explained to me why she has chosen to come to Apley: “I really love the ethos of supporting locally produced food & local business. I feel the individual & their part in the community is part of a healthy lifestyle & Apley seems to support all of these ideals as well as being a beautiful place”.

£70 initial appointment 1hr +; £40 follow up consultation. Includes a welcome package, all supportive literature, recipes etc & telephone support. In January, she’s offering a 15% discount to all clients she sees at Apley. She will also be operating from our former office, up the steps to the Corn Loft Conference Room.

Having worked for 30 years as a dental hygienist, Jackie felt that an approach of looking at treating just the teeth & the mouth had its limits, so she decided to study naturopathic nutrition that offered a more integrated approach to health. Following 3 years studying with College Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) she personally found that making natural choices in food & lifestyle supported by relevant nutritional supplements brought about a return of energy, enthusiasm & joy of life. She is still involved with CNM as an assistant supervisor.
