Apley Holiday Cottages – only a few weeks left in the Summer holidays

2014-05-20, Sarah Shepherd photo (2)Following Gavin’s brief TV appearance on Salvage Hunters, there was a sharp increase in the number of visitors to our Apley Holiday Cottages website leading to 2 bookings already. I must admit I hardly watch television & hadn’t ever watched Quest until last week. It has some interesting programmes covering diverse subjects not covered elsewhere on TV. If you have for friends & family coming to stay during the Summer holidays, we have the following availability until 1 Sept: in Linley (sleeps 6) we only have 1 week in July; Forge (sleeps 4) —2 weeks June & 2 weeks in July; Bridge (sleeps 6-8) —1 week in July, 1 in August.

  • Staying on the banks of the River Severn is lovely
  • Staying in front of a grand & private bridge is special
  • Staying in the heart of Lord Hamilton’s private traditional country estate is truly something else
  • I have added into the mix top mattresses, top linen, top duvets, woodburners, bottle of wine, walled garden veg, Farm Shop vouchers, Creamery Café discount, walking permit, fishing permit …

The combination of all surely makes rather an attractive proposition for a British staycation (even if it rains sometimes !)

2014-05-20, Bridge renovationsA key draw for our Apley Holiday Cottages visitors is not only being on the banks of  the beautiful River Severn but also being set in front of our lovely private Apley suspension bridge, set just off the National Cycle Route 45 which runs parallel with the river.  For the first time in 15 years, it’s being fully renovated, so will be shut from today for the next 14 weeks. Maddening it has to be in peak season, but of course it has to be done when the weather is at its best (we hope). I’ll be keeping a photo diary to follow the renovations. First photo is just here.

Apley Park & Apley suspension bridge are strictly private.

PS. These are some of the cows in Apley Park in which the cottages are set.
