Apley May Fayre – timetable for bank holiday Monday, 4 May

It’s been a busy week & today we’ve been finalising the Apley May Fayre to be held on bank holiday Monday 4 May 2015, 10–4pm in the Courtyard:

James Bazley Circus School – 10–11.30am

Jodie Leigh Dance School performance – 11.30–11.45am

Maypole dancing led by Jodie Leigh – 11.45–12noon

James Bazley Circus School 12noon–2pm

Jodie Leigh Dance School performance 1.30–1.45pm

Maypole dancing led by Jodie Leigh 1.45–2pm

James Bazley Circus School 2.30–4pm

There will be fun activities & games in the Courtyard all day, 10-4pm

Plus of course Have-a-Go-Maypole-dancing anytime 10-4pm in between demonstrations – just help yourselves ! It’s a lovely opportunity to dance with your family & friends or any other passing & willing Apley visitors !

James Bazley is an exciting multi-skilled circus performer who will be hosting the circus skills workshops at the Apley May Fayre. He will be teaching a range of circus skills from plate spinning, diabolo throwing to stilt walking. The workshop will be run in a ‘drop in’ style basis with all equipment provided. Fun is guaranteed, all ages welcomed.

During our Apley Craft Fayre on Sunday 3 May, Sacred Realm will be Crafter of the Month, giving demonstrations: “After taking maternity leave, Jodie of Sacred Realm is back into sewing & refocusing her business. She is currently making some lightweight summer tops in a vintage floral pattern that she will be bringing to the Apley May Craft Fayre. Vintage garments & fabrics appeal very strongly to her. During the demonstration on Sunday 3 May, Jodie will be showing visitors how to place & cut fabric on the mannequin to create new clothes“.

Just when the Apley Estate men had put up the May pole & they tried it out with some of our Apley Farm Shop staff, they were caught on camera by some of our Creamery Café customers. It looks like one of those magic moments !
