Mmm – what’s for lunch in The Creamery Café today ? Here’s our specials menu to give you a taster (excuse the pun !). Head chef Martin McKee has just sent me these before & after photos, showing how he prepares local chicken & Quatt asparagus with Apley Estate wild garlic pesto – et voila – somehow you end up with this on your plate ! In the next few months, we will be creating Apley in the Bag meal kits, more recipe cards, the recipe book, the Apley App & mini recipe films, so Martin can help us all be more successful in the kitchen ! Flags are going up today along the roadside, to herald the coming of our first Apley May Fayre, with traditional May pole dancing, fun & games for all ages.
There will be an all-day barbecue across all three days to include flavoured sausages from our butcher, kebabs, burgers & hot dogs. In the Creameary, our cake stands will be overflowing with Julie’s amazing cakes – tray bakes, cupcakes, scones & the Apley specials.
