John Deere [tractors] supports Open Farm Sunday 2015

Open Farm Sunday 2013 A Open Farm Sunday 2013 BOpen Farm Sunday this weekend (7 June) is supported by John Deere tractors (the green & yellow ones !). Here’s a press release from Rea Valley Tractors who are our local dealer:

John Deere is once again pleased to announce its support as machinery sponsor for this year’s 10th Open Farm Sunday, which takes place on June 7th, 2015. The organisers LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) are targeting a total of 500 host farms and 250,000 visitors on the day.

In addition, a series of Open Farm School Days throughout June will see over 100 farms hosting 5000 children on specially arranged school visits. Open Farm Sunday has become the single most effective and well supported day in the farming calendar, and is very much the farming industry’s annual open day – a celebration of all that is best about British farming and food, and a great opportunity to get the public out onto farms to discover where their food comes from, meet the farmers who produce it and find out how farmers care for the environment.

Local John Deere dealer Rea Valley Tractors are supporting a number of events in their area by the loan of machinery including Home Farm Attingham, Apley Farm Shop and Battlefield 1403 (Saturday event) look forward to welcoming families at these free events.

Further details of the event are available on the Open Farm Sunday website at www.farmsunday.org or you can follow @OpenFarmSunday on Twitter (#OFS).
