I’ll post the schedule here asap – it includes some great classes for all kinds of dogs including with the waggiest tail !

Dog display team, Paws for Thought, will be there on 15 August. Here’s a bit about them – from the photos, there’s clearly going to be a lot of fun !

Paws for Thought was set up by Stuart Brace, an ex-Police dog handler, following the disbanding of the local Police Dog Team & due to the continuation of requests for dog displays in the area. After some years of performing a police style display, Stuart took control of the team & changed its style. Gone were lengthy obedience routines, police style agility & police man work & in came fun agility races, encouraging crowd involvement, tricks & games in which children & adults could participate if they were brave enough. The display changed from formal to very informal, the onus placed on entertaining the whole family. Two strong messages were shared: 1) that dog owners should be responsible for their pets & 2) fun could be had training a dog, whatever the breed. The team’s reputation grew & they have performed at many large events including Crufts Dog Show, Discover Dogs, Channel 4 Pet Roadshows, Royal Bath & West Show, the Royal Welsh Show, the Royal Three Counties Show, Paws in the Park, The London Pet Show, The Royal Welsh Spring Festival, Britain’s Got Talent, The Alan Titchmarsh Show & CBBC Who Let The Dogs Out & About.

Brookfield Veterinary Practice provide sponsorship & advice to the team.
