The calves born on 15 February (see my blog of that date for a very sweet photo) are here looking much bigger as I took a couple of hours off & rode through them today on one of our ponies. It’s tricky taking photos from the saddle, so my shot of one of the last fields to be harvested is rather distant, but at least it’s a lovely view too !

Back home, I found Gavin with Mrs Beeton open on the kitchen table, making 18 pots of plum jam from the plums which were too ripe to sell in Apley Farm Shop (there’s a limit to how many ripe plums we can eat ourselves at home !)
