Apley Plant Centre just sent me over their November news. I adore bulbs in the house, window box, garden & as presents, but so often only begin to think about them when it’s way too late. I’ll have no excuse this year, as our office at Apley Farm Shop is right next door to Apley Plant Centre !

It’s bulb planting time & at Apley Plant Centre they have some great varieties to add to your containers & brighten up your garden. Spring bulbs are just about the easiest of all flowers to grow:  you simply plant & forget about them until they delight you with their colour & fragrance in four or five months’ time. Even more exciting is our bulb pack lucky dip. Spend a net total within the Apley Plant Centre of £25 & you can have a go at our lucky dip. Everyone is a winner – it just depends on what your dip unveils. It could be narcissus or a bulb collection pack worth £4.99!

If you need hedging for your boundaries, they have samples of plants on site for our customers to peruse with plenty of other suggestions if you need something a little different. A new batch of alpines was delivered last weekend, always popular with our customers & with the multi buy offer of 5 plants for £15, it’s a winner!

With plenty of Autumnal colour within their array of plants & containers & the added bonus of entering their bulb collection lucky dip, they have plenty to offer the gardener this time of year. Remember Autumn is the time to plant, as the soil is warm & pliable so perfect for planting.
