Apley Walled Garden in the Garden News magazine

We were delighted to have national coverage of Apley Walled Garden in the Garden News magazine (below) last week. Phil’s use of traditional gardening methods has come about in part due to his limited budget, but it also means consumers buy fruit & vegetables grown using the lowest possible levels of chemicals & fertilisers. Eg. he makes his own fertiliser from comfry & uses trap crops instead of pesticides. Catch him in the Farm Shop & customers can even chat to Phil himself.

He is preparing produce for our Apley Christmas veg boxes & for our Apley Christmas Food Fair on Saturday 28 November. Recently when having supper with Venetia & Francis, whilst my back was turned they pinched my sweeter-tasting purple brussels sprouts off my plate, they liked them so much ! That’s definitely a first ! So look out for those this year.
