We’ve launched a 2-week Facebook campaign to promote our new online DeliShop to 18-65 yr old men & women who live within a 30 mile radius of Apley Farm Shop. Within 20 hrs, we’d had 2178 views, 28 click throughs & 13 likes.  Hoorah !

Someone asked me how Apley Farm Shop’s DeliShop began. It was all a series of lucky chances really: Back in August, I had one of my very rare days (about twice a year) when I was so unwell I couldn’t do anything other than sit on a sofa & read through a pile of trade journals & other magazines which had been accumulating over the months.

One of those magazines was Fine Food Digest & I spotted this article (click HERE to read it again) about Charlie Turnbull setting up DeliShop. A few days later, I was back in London with Gavin, just in time to go to the Speciality Fine Food Fair. After a couple hours we headed to the Guild of Fine Foods stand (Apley Farm Shop is a member) where we met its chairman Bob Farrand. By chance, Charlie Turnbull was also there & his next appointment was running late, so we took the opportunity to chat with him about setting up our DeliShop. We worked on it very rapidly over the next few months to its launch a few weeks ago. Hoorah !
