Time to fill your home with the wonderfully warming smells for jam / marmalade making, to chase away the cold & wet winter weather. Apley Farm Shop will have all the ingredients you need this week to get started.

My brother in law just came back from Seville where he’d found time to make his first batch of 2016 marmalade (I love it far more than anyone else in our family, lucky for me). He’d made it with Seville oranges naturally but found bergamots to blend them with. They’re really called citrus bergamia, the size of an orange, but more lemon like

in colour. Here are a couple of marmalade recipes & a link to 10 tips for good marmalade making to help avoid the usual pitfalls of jam making!
