Bridgnorth Vintage Machinery Rally – photos
The Bridgnorth Vintage Machinery Rally started & finished at Apley Farm Shop last Sunday (13 March).Part of their route passed through the Apley Estate. Steve Watts of A Decent Exposure photography was there to take these fantastic snaps. Organiser David Spruce kindly emailed me to say they had 80 tractors & raised a fabulous £1332 for charity. We put on a special early breakfast for them in the Creamery Cafe which was very well received.
These photos really show how far tractor technology has come. It was clearly a busy day – luckily also beautifully sunny & very well attended – Bridgnorth’s High Street was lined with onlookers.
Here are a few other snippets of our recent charitable news:
- One of our regular Apley butcher customers just kindly emailed me to thank us for donating Apley sausages to a breakfast event she organised locally, raising over £350 in just a few hours for Cancer UK.
- Tina’s will be visiting Southall School in Dawley on Monday (21 March) to talk to pupils about working in the catering & retail sectors.
- From this Saturday we’ll have Operation Orphan collecting boxes & publicity in the farm shop.
