We received a delivery of fresh venison yesterday which will be in perfect time for Easter Sunday – a great alternative to our equally local Spring lamb or Apley beef. Phil has delivered the first lot of wild garlic – so early this year – just had Matt’s wild garlic & potato soup. Just seen the first flowers of oil seed rape too, daffodils & primroses lining the roadside verges.
We welcome Lisa as our new Head Baker, as we say a very fond farewell today (Good Friday) to Julie who’s been baking our cakes almost since the day we opened on 31 March 2011 – five years now !
