Apley Plant Centre workshop – Sat 18 June – Your Medicinal Garden

Apley Plant Centre recently sent me details of their workshop, “Your Medicinal Garden”, to be held on Saturday 18^th June, 10.30am-1pm in The Corn Loft Conference Room at Apley Farm Shop, costing £6 a head to cover the cost of a buffet lunch which will include a fresh herb salad & a mini pudding. I know this is ages away, but June is really just round the corner ! Here are the details:

“Join local Medical Herbalist Hannah Charman in this fun free workshop as part of National Herbal Medicine Week. You’ll learn the basic principles of western Herbal Medicine & how to use some of your home grown medicines to safely help your family at home. The workshop will include:

• Learning about the folk & modern uses of medicinal plants
• Dos & don’ts
• Selected herbs & their uses
• Herb tea tastings
• Question & answer session
• A buffet style lunch will then be served & the chance to buy a wide range of herbs to include some of the more unusual varieties. Enlarged multi buy offers on herbs will be available for this weekend only.
