If you can’t decide which cake or tart to enter in the Apley Bake Off baking competition, the girls in Apley Farm Shop have compiled some recipe kits, photographed here by A Decent Exposure.
So far, we have recipe cards (see below) ready with the recipe kits for Rhubarb crumble tart kit & Honey & apple cake. Kit prices tbc tomorrow.
All details of the Apley Bake Off event are online (click HERE) as well as below. You can register online over the next 3 weeks or just turn up on the day. Either way, your cake or tart needs an application form & accompanying recipe.

One thing I find maddening in receipes (very American) is when it says “cup” what is the real measurage in weight and of course millilitres or fluid ounces? Or of course the receipe could be based on the weight of the eggs….big or small…?
