Cake of the Week at Apley Farm Shop

Blackberry Delight
It’s early for wild blackberries which are usually ready by late August but when I dropped into Lisa’s bakery at Apley Farm Shop yesterday lunchtime, I saw her trying out this cake. Of course, I dipped my spoon into the uncooked cake mixture which to me is always better than the final cooked version! It was scrummy & these photos do it justice. The blackberries she’s used are for sale in the farm shop if you want to try making it yourself at home. Try it in the Creamery Cafe for £2.50 per [very generous] slice.
