Just received this photo from our Apley butcher of this delicious duck prepared yesterday.
We always have a Sausage of the Week (SOTW to us) & this week it’s beef & roast peppers (which I love).
We’re busy with 2 developments on the butchery counter – butchery master classes & our meat boxes. Just getting samples of the empty boxes, so we can choose the best quality, price & style for our customers. Steve Watts is photographing them for us, as before. They’ll be available on our online DeliShop – super convenient if you can’t easily get to the farm shop.
We’re preparing our special Christmas meat boxes & for the rest of the year, there is a selection of 5 types of meat boxes – from those for sausage lovers, family packs & those for gymmers & slimmers. Yesterday, I was browsing the UK’s top 10 providers of meat boxes & they’re amazing. Our meat is of course sourced from the Apley Estate & or as locally as we can, principally from Shropshire.
As our cheese counter has just been listed in the UK’s top 10, we’ll also be getting our cheese courses started inthe new year, but only once we’ve launched the meat courses. Not too much at once !
