Stockton Church Harvest festival

Wot no harvest festival – apparently, it’s happening. It’s a shame that that reflects how far removed some consumers now are from their food sources. We had a lovely harvest festival on this glorious Autumn day. Cycled to & fro church, leaves just beginning to change colour. Passed the Norton bowling club. Spotted a farmer sowing his winter crops. Friends & neighbours also there, also being thankful to our farmers & food producers. Our small country village church was beautifully decorated. So pure, wholesome & refreshing.

The Remembrance day service is Sunday 13 November, but the date for the Christmas carols service at Stockton Church (just opposite Apley Farm Shop & the church for the Apley Estate & estate village of Norton) is still to be confirmed.
