Dancers at the Apley Bake Off

The Jodie Leigh School of Dance will dance during the Apley Bake Off on Sunday 28 May. Click HERE to see the trailer film describing the event.

Jodie’s dancers will dance at 11am & 12noon – hopefully on the gravel in the courtyard as they did for the Apley May Day Celebrations in 2015. Each dance will last about 12mins, so make sure you get a good viewing place in plenty of time !

• 11am: Grade 2 Modern Jazz – Lady Gaga; Primary Ballet – Brave; Preparatory Modern Jazz – Fame
• 12 Noon: Baby Ballet – The Glow; Grade 1 Ballet – The One; Grade 4 Modern Jazz – James Arthur

• The school opened in Bridgnorth in March 2008, after Jodie returned to the UK from several years dancing on some of the world’s most luxury cruise ships. The school teaches children ballet, tap & modern jazz, from ages 3-17 for both boys & girls.
• Due to the success of Bridgnorth, the school opened at a second location in Highley in October 2010, offering ballet, tap & gymnastics from ages 3- 11 for both boys & girls.
• The school participates in regular local events. We have previously performed at Bridgnorth Children’s Festival three times, Bridgnorth Party in the Park, at several of the Highley Summer Fun Days, Christmas fetes, the Jubilee Music Festival & previously at Apley Farm Shop’s May Day Spectacular.
• The school offers exams with the International Dance Teachers Association. With many pupils achieving the highest possible mark of Distinction, some gaining as high as 88% exam mark.
• Alternate years, we perform our annual full dance school show to demonstrate to family & friends the progress of the children, not only in ability but confidence too.
