Paint & Create are celebrating their first year in the shopping courtyard at Apley Farm Shop. They are busily planning 2018 events but in the meantime, here are their next forthcoming events to put in your diary:
Tuesday 29th August 2017 – Ladies’ Night – 7pm – 9pm
Pottery painting, wine and nibbles! Bring your friends along for a relaxed and fun evening to create your masterpiece. From complete beginners to experienced painters; all abilities welcome. Booking essential. £5 for wine and nibbles payable on booking + pay for what you paint on the night.
Tuesday 12th September 2017 – Fused Glass Workshop – 7pm – 9pm
A brilliant opportunity to enjoy wine and nibbles whilst creating your own glass tile or framed glass piece under the expert eye of visiting artists, Kinki Glass.
Booking essential. £10 deposit payable on booking + £12-£20 on the night depending on what you make.
Thursday 21st September 2017 – Ladies’ Night – 7pm – 9pm

Saturday 30th September 2017 – Potter’s Wheel – The Full Experience
Demonstration. 20 minutes one-to-one lesson on the wheel throwing 2 pots. 2-3 hours in the studio to decorate. Professional glaze and fire for collection approximately 3 weeks later.
Booking essential. £30 per person. Time slots allocated upon booking.

Make your own Christmas decorations under the guidance of professional potter, Rachel Frost. Leave them with us to fire then return to decorate them during December. Sessions available for children and adults.

2018 – dates to be announced – Beginners’ Pottery Course – 9:30am – 1pm
This 4-week course includes demonstration and tuition on the Potter’s Wheel each week, coil pots, pinch pots, sculpture, painting and decoration on green-ware and bisque and use of hand tools. All materials, glaze and fire and light refreshments included.
