If you want to know exactly where your Thanksgiving or Christmas turkey is from this year, drop into the Apley Christmas Market 24-25 Nov (10-4pm both days) & try before you buy. Chat with the producer about how they’re reared & what they’re fed. Food provenance matters, all year round, but especially at Christmas. Huxley turkeys are very local to Apley Farm Shop in Shropshire. They put on 1lb a week at this time of year. Someone told me that sounded like him when he didn’t go to the gym!
