First Apley Estate 2018 calf was born yesterday

The first Apley Estate 2018 calf was born yesterday (Wed 31 Jan), weighing approximately 40kg. We don’t know how long she took to calf as she it all happened in the night unexpectedly. Cow No. 716 is the mother (a Hereford breed), Foo is the bull (a British Blue breed). The calf will remain with the cow until it’s weaned in November. Our stockmen Bill & Ian have 193 cows left to calf this season !
